About

“Healing begins the moment you pause, step back and breathe.”
– A gentle reminder for every woman on her journey

My name is Shanthi, and I’m a certified Yoga Therapist with a deep passion for helping women lead healthy, happy, and peaceful lives.

For over 25 years, I worked in the fast-paced world of software development and Project Management, striving for professional growth while juggling the many demands of life. Over time, the constant pressure and long hours began to take a toll on my health. I suffered from chronic back pain, frozen shoulder, vertigo, and episodes of depression. Despite trying various treatments—medications, rest, and therapies—the relief was always temporary.

On a friend’s recommendation, I decided to try yoga therapy. To my surprise, within a few sessions, I began to experience real improvement. Encouraged by the results, I committed to a regular practice guided by a qualified Yoga Therapist. Not only did the pain begin to ease, but I also noticed a profound shift in my mental and emotional well-being. The simple yet powerful breathing techniques brought me a deep sense of calm, clarity, and inner peace.

As I continued this journey, I felt like I had regained my life—free from pain, full of energy, and grounded in peace. This transformation inspired me to study yoga therapy more deeply, not just for myself but to help others experience the same freedom and healing.

I eventually left my corporate career ten years back  and trained at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) in Chennai, completing both the Yoga Teacher Training Program and the Yoga Therapy Training Program. I was also trained in Healing Chants, another profound dimension of this tradition.

Today, I offer one-on-one yoga therapy sessions for

  • Women from all walks of life

  • Elderly individuals through gentle Chair Yoga

  • School & College students to support focus and emotional balance

Today’s women wear many hats — they are professionals, caretakers, partners, mothers, and daughters. Each day often begins early and ends late, filled with tasks, expectations, and decisions.

There are long hours at a desk, endless meetings, and tight deadlines. Then there’s the second shift — managing the home, caring for children or elders, and trying to stay emotionally available for everyone around them.

In the midst of all this, their own well-being is often the first to be neglected. Many  women silently struggle with:

  • Chronic stress and anxiety

  • Poor sleep and constant fatigue

  • Back, neck, and shoulder pain from long sitting hours

  • Hormonal imbalances and menstrual health issues

  • A racing mind that rarely finds time to rest

  • Guilt for not doing “enough” at work or home

  • The pressure to appear strong, capable, and composed at all times

Yoga Therapy offers  space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with ourselves. It is not about perfection or flexibility — it’s about wellbeing .

Through personalized sessions, I help women:

  • Release physical tension and pain

  • Reduce mental clutter and emotional overwhelm

  • Improve posture, digestion, and sleep

  • Learn breathing techniques that calm the nervous system

  • Build emotional resilience

  • Create a few minutes of peace each day — just for themselves

Even with a busy schedule, small, consistent practice can bring powerful change.

If you're some one  who’s been looking for holistic approach towards wellness,
I invite you to make space for yourself — gently and mindfully.
